In March 2009 Douglasdale joined up with Pop Outdoor to increase the brand awareness. Billboards advertising various Douglasdale products were strategically placed in a number of sites in Gauteng and the North West Province.
Douglasdale has bought and installed a crate moulding machine to manufacture the Douglasdale Crate on site. This has allowed us to monitor and control the quality of the crates being made and has reduced the number of breakages. In turn it has assisted the company in reducing the crate costs.
Douglasdale Dairy have made a major contribution to The Family Africa's projects
The Family Africa is a faith based organisation bringing real hope for the future to thousands of people from previously disadvantaged groups in South Africa.
Through their Mother's Support and Counselling Centre, TB/HIV Support Group, free Day Care Centre, other volunteer centres, and Sunday Club for disadvantaged children, the organisation helps adults as well as hundreds of children.
Douglasdale Dairy regularly help The Family Africa, and in October 2010 gave thousands of litres of milk to them.
Douglasdale Dairy is proud to be one of the first Gauteng based fresh milk dairies to achieve international Food Safety Standard, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) certification (click here to view).
We have in addition been awarded an 'A' rating in the Pick ‘n Pay suppliers audit assessment, conducted on their behalf by the Southern African Food Safety Inspection Services, which further reiterates our commitment to our customers.
